What a great weekend of weather, eh? Well the good news is that our lovely spring weather should hold for most of this week.
TODAY and TUESDAY
After a cool start this morning—about 50 degrees for most areas of town, warmer along the coast—we’ll warm to around 80 degrees under sunny skies. Winds out of the south-southwest will push low temperatures on Tuesday and Wednesday morning up to around 60 degrees.
WEDNESDAY
Moisture levels will ramp up on Wednesday, leading to more clouds. A cool front should reach the area sometime later in the day, perhaps the evening hours, but a capping inversion with warmer air aloft should inhibit to development of widespread rain showers. Highs will be around 80.
THURSDAY-SATURDAY
With drier air moving in Thursday and Friday, we’ll see three days with highs most likely in the upper 70s, and lows in the upper 50s. Rain chances will be near zero, and skies should be partly to mostly sunny.
SUNDAY and MONDAY
Our weather should turn a bit muggier by later on Sunday and Monday, with highs around 80 degrees, warmer nights, and an increasing chance of rain. It’s a little bit difficult to try and pinpoint rainfall amounts, but Sunday night and especially Monday will definitely provide the area’s next best chance of rain.
MS-150
A few people have asked about the MS-150 bike ride coming up on April 16 and 17. It’s too early to have much confidence, but it’s possible we will see some unsettled weather that weekend. I’ll keep my eye on it.
So – the pollen. My sinuses are being destroyed. This seems worse than normal. Does the lack of rain recently make any difference in the pollen level?
