It’s cold this morning, about 40 degrees, and especially dry. Dewpoints are around 10 to 15 degrees, making for exceptionally dry air. Fortunately the blustery conditions we saw Monday are gone.
TODAY
The dry air and sunshine will allow highs to climb into the mid-60s this afternoon, before falling tonight into the low 40s.
WEDNESDAY to FRIDAY
We’ll see a gradual warm-up as some moisture begins to return to the area, but it won’t occur quickly, nor will there be many clouds. Highs will climb from about 70 on Wednesday, to the mid-70s for the end of the work week. Lows will remain in the low- to mid-50s.
SATURDAY
Skies should be partly to mostly sunny on Saturday, with highs climbing to about 70 degrees. A cool front moving through Texas will reach Houston later on Saturday, but it’s not clear that this front will have enough oomph to move all the way off the coast. This makes it a little tricky to forecast lows for Saturday night.
SUNDAY and MONDAY
With the boundary lingering we may see some moderate rain chances late this weekend, beginning Saturday night but unfortunately I don’t expect any significant accumulations. At most we’ll probably see a tenth of an inch or two, and we need more. Highs should remain around 70 degrees.

Are we slipping into a drought?
Not yet, because temperatures are so cold, but another month of this then yes.
Love the 28% relative humidity.
Eric, who do we see about ordering that for this summer? You or someone else?
