We’re on cruise control in the weather department, mostly. It’s a little chilly out there this morning! We’ve got mid to upper 30s officially at Bush and Hobby, but the outer suburbs are all generally in the low 30s, with a few upper 20s peppered in for some also.
TODAY AND SATURDAY
Another stunner of a winter day today after the AM chill. Expect loads of sunshine throughout the day and high temps up near 60 degrees.
Ahead of our next system tonight, temperatures won’t be quite as cool, so upper 30s to low 40s. Clouds will increase and we could see a few showers by early Saturday morning. The threat of a few showers continues into early Saturday afternoon, but we’ll start to clear out later and find temperatures around 60° or so again, provided we see sunshine.
SUNDAY INTO NEXT WEEK
No weather issues are seen beyond Sunday. In fact, I think the only real forecast challenge is going to be cloud cover. With a strong jet stream overhead, there will be high cloud cover that gets roped across South Texas at times. It shouldn’t wreck the forecast too much, but it is certainly something that can impact temperatures and just the perception of each day. This will be a bigger issue south of I-10 than north of it. Otherwise, lows in the 30s and 40s and highs in the 60s mostly (though a day or two in the 50s is possible). We start to warm up a little more aggressively toward next weekend, so look for 70s to get mentioned a bit more.
The weather is FANTASTIC!!! Crisp, cool air, bright sun light, no humidity….it is absolutely GORGEOUS!! I’ll take more please!
