First off, a hearty congratulations to Eric for completing the Houston Marathon on Sunday! Great running weather, and the forecast leading into the race was pretty good too.
TODAY
We’ll continue this nice dose of weather for Monday. If you have the holiday off, enjoy it. High temperatures should push 60°, and we’ll see a good bit of sunshine. Pretty awesome for mid-January.
TUESDAY-THURSDAY
How about the rest of the week? Well, here we go again. The wind will shift back onshore by Tuesday morning, ushering in milder Gulf air and a little bit more humidity. I wouldn’t be shocked if we start with some fog Tuesday and see some more Wednesday. We’ll see more clouds move in too, and our next chance of rain should arrive by Wednesday or Thursday. This is another one of those quick moving storms that organizes over East Texas, so the specifics are still a little tough to pin down. But expect scattered showers and maybe a rumble of thunder in that late Wednesday/Thursday period. It will probably come in two doses: One on Wednesday and another on Thursday. Neither shot looks terribly impressive right now, but as always, we’ll keep an eye on it.
Temperatures will warm into the mid or upper 60s Tuesday (depending on how much sun we see), upper 60s to low 70s Wednesday, and probably similar on Thursday.
Temperatures should turn quite a bit colder by the weekend, with 30s once again likely in our future.
Sunday was absolutely beautiful, let’s have a repeat (or two)!
Thank you Matt, & Congrats Eric!!
Congrats Eric!!
Thanks!
Wow Eric, I have been out of town, didn’t know you were competing, Congratulations!!
Thank you! Compete is probably too strong of a word. I’d say I survived.
